Mavericks find more leaders

"I didn't keep score on that one."

CHICAGO -- One of coach Avery Johnson's primary goals for Dirk Nowitzki this season is stronger leadership. A minor incident Friday night may have given Johnson delightfully more than he dreamed of getting.

In the third quarter, Nowitzki and Devin Harris had a disagreement about a defensive assignment on the court and began arguing.

When the discussion continued longer than Johnson wanted, he pulled both players to the sideline and gave them a brief lecture.

'I was like the judge on one of those reality shows,' Johnson said. 'I was the judge and someone was guilty and someone was not guilty.' Read more
