Eddie Sefko: Dallas Mavericks will take any playoff slot but eighth

The Mavericks have no intentions of testing the hoop gods. As Dirk Nowitzki said after the 102-92 loss to New Orleans on Sunday: "Hopefully, we can win out, finish sixth or seventh and let it all hang out in the playoffs." Nowitzki didn't say anything about whom the Mavericks would let it all hang out against.
