NBA: Knicks, Thomas find shelter in S.C.

The timing was exactly right for Isiah Thomas and the Knicks. Training camp opened just as the sexual harassment trial ended with a jury's decision against him and Madison Square Garden.

If there was ever a time to get out of town for a week, this was it.

Charleston provided a shelter from the firestorm of media criticism and allowed Thomas to focus on something that has always been his escape from reality: basketball.

'We had a good camp,' Thomas said. 'I think all of the guys are looking forward to going home. We had a good period down here in South Carolina.' Read more
