DALLAS -- It might have seemed like everybody in the basketball world was critical of Mavericks coach Avery Johnson leaving Jason Kidd on the bench late in the game against San Antonio on Thursday night, but there was at least one notable supporter.
Mark Cuban.
In fact, the Mavericks' owner told reporters before Friday's game that he was unaware Kidd was on the bench for the last 34.5 seconds of the 97-94 loss to the Spurs.
'JK has been here for five games,' Cuban said. 'That was his fifth game. He hasn't been in every situation, where those guys have played together before. I didn't notice. That's the honest truth.' Read more
