Wizards spell disaster for Mavericks

The Mavericks limped back home after two consecutive road losses, but Monday night against shorthanded Washington their defense remained out to lunch and, save for Dirk Nowitzki's hot first half, their offense wasn't much better.

Behind Caron Butler's 35 points, Antawn Jamison's 27 and a blistering 38-point third quarter, the Wizards ran the Mavs out of American Airlines Center 110-98 in front of 19,556. It was the Mavs' first loss at home after a 6-0 start. Read more
